How to Join a Google Meet (Laptop, Tablet, or Phone)
We’re excited to invite you to our online trip meetings! You can join using a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Just follow the steps below.
Before You Start
- Make sure your device is connected to the internet
- Keep the meeting link we sent you (via email or text) handy
- Join 5-10 minutes early in case you need help
Option 1: Join on a Laptop or Desktop Computer
Best for easiest viewing
- Open your internet browser (like Chrome, Safari, or Edge)
- Find the email or message we sent you
- Click on the meeting link
- A page will open — click “Join now”
- Make sure your camera and microphone are allowed if prompted
✅ That’s it! You’re in the meeting.
Tip: If you see a message asking to “Allow microphone/camera,” click Allow
Option 2: Join on a Tablet (iPad or Android)
- Open the email or message with your meeting link
- Tap the link
- If prompted, install the Google Meet app (this only takes a minute)
- Open the app and tap “Join”
- Tap “Join now”
✅ You’re in!
Option 3: Join on a Smartphone (iPhone or Android)
- Open your email or text message
- Tap the meeting link
- If needed, download the Google Meet app from your app store
- Open the app
- Tap “Join now”
✅ You’re connected!
Helpful Tips During the Meeting
- You can turn your camera on/off using the camera icon
- You can mute/unmute yourself using the microphone icon
- If you can’t hear, check your device volume
- If something isn’t working, try leaving and rejoining
If You Have Trouble Joining
- Double-check your internet connection
- Try clicking the link again
- Ask a family member or friend for help
- Or simply watch the meeting on YouTube Live (link will be provided)
Prefer Not to Use Google Meet?
We also stream the meeting live on YouTube for easy viewing. You won’t be on camera, but you can still watch everything.
