Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 4, 2026

Happening Travel (“Happening,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information entrusted to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect information when you visit our websites, communicate with us, join the Happening Travel Club, register for an event, request information, purchase or book travel products or services, make a payment, or otherwise interact with Happening.

This Privacy Policy applies to Happening-operated websites, online forms, applications, customer-service systems, payment experiences, and related services that link to or reference this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with Happening.

Contact and Identity Information

We may collect information such as:

Travel and Reservation Information

When you inquire about, register for, or purchase travel, we may collect information necessary to arrange and administer your travel, including:

Depending on the trip and requirements of travel suppliers or governmental authorities, additional traveler information may be required to complete or administer a reservation.

Membership and Event Information

If you join the Happening Travel Club, attend a Happening event, register for an expo, or participate in another Happening program, we may collect information relating to your membership, registration, participation, preferences, and purchases.

Transaction and Payment Information

We collect information concerning purchases and financial obligations, which may include:

Happening uses third-party payment processors, including Intuit/QuickBooks Payments, to process certain payments.

For payment experiences using QuickBooks Payments, payment-card information is entered through Intuit’s payment technology. Happening Core is designed not to receive or store your full payment-card number (PAN) or card security code (CVV).

Instead, Intuit may provide Happening with a temporary or one-time payment token and transaction information necessary to request, record, reconcile, support, and document the payment.

Payment information submitted directly to Intuit is also subject to Intuit’s applicable privacy and security practices.

Communications and Customer Service Information

We may collect and retain communications between you and Happening, including:

Website and Technical Information

When you visit or interact with our websites or online services, we or our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, such as:

We may use CAPTCHA or similar technologies to protect our websites, forms, and payment-related services from spam, automated activity, fraud, and abuse.

2. Comments and User-Submitted Content

If visitors leave comments on our website, we may collect the information shown in the comment form, together with the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent information to assist with spam detection and website security.

An anonymized string created from your email address, sometimes called a hash, may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine whether you use that service. If your comment is approved, your Gravatar profile picture may be publicly visible with your comment.

Gravatar is operated by Automattic and is subject to Automattic’s privacy practices.

If you upload images to our website, you should avoid uploading images containing embedded location information, such as EXIF GPS data. Other website visitors may be able to download an image and extract embedded location information from it.

3. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

4. QuickBooks and Intuit

Happening uses Intuit and QuickBooks services for certain payment and financial functions.

Our systems may exchange information with Intuit that is reasonably necessary to process and administer payments. Depending on the transaction, this information may include:

When you enter payment-card information using an Intuit-powered payment experience, sensitive card information is submitted through Intuit’s payment technology rather than being intentionally collected or stored by Happening Core.

Happening may retain transaction identifiers, amounts, statuses, timestamps, limited payment descriptors, and other non-card payment information necessary for accounting, reconciliation, customer service, dispute resolution, auditing, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

Happening does not use QuickBooks or Intuit customer data to train generative artificial-intelligence models.

5. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Systems

Happening may use artificial intelligence and automated systems to assist with customer service, communications, information retrieval, classification, administrative workflows, and internal business operations.

Where artificial intelligence is used in connection with Happening’s payment systems, AI does not independently authorize or execute QuickBooks Payments transactions. Payment execution is controlled separately through Happening’s payment systems and the applicable payment provider.

Happening does not use full payment-card numbers or CVV information to train artificial-intelligence systems.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our websites may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, maintain sessions, understand website usage, improve performance, support security, and assist with marketing where permitted.

If you leave a comment on our website, you may be offered the option to save your name, email address, and website in cookies for convenience so that you do not have to enter the information again when leaving another comment. These cookies may remain for up to one year.

If you visit a login page, we may use a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain personal information and is generally discarded when you close your browser.

If you log into an account, cookies may be used to remember login information and display preferences. If a “Remember Me” or similar feature is selected, login information may persist for a longer period. Logging out generally removes login-session cookies.

If you edit or publish content on our website, an additional cookie may be stored that identifies the content or post being edited. This cookie does not itself contain personal information and generally expires after a short period.

Third-party services operating on or through our websites may also use cookies or similar technologies according to their own privacy practices.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate choices concerning non-essential cookies.

7. Embedded Content and Third-Party Services

Pages on our websites may contain embedded or linked content from other websites, such as videos, images, maps, social-media content, articles, forms, or other services.

Embedded content may behave as though you visited the third-party website directly. Those third parties may collect information about you, use cookies, employ additional tracking technologies, and monitor your interaction with their content, particularly if you have an account with and are logged into that third-party service.

Third-party websites and services maintain their own privacy practices. Happening is not responsible for their privacy practices or content.

8. How We Share Personal Information

We may disclose personal information when reasonably necessary to operate our business and provide requested services.

We may provide necessary information to hotels, cruise lines, airlines, tour operators, transportation companies, excursion providers, destination partners, insurance providers where applicable, and other suppliers involved in providing requested travel or related services.

Payment and Financial Service Providers

We may provide information to Intuit/QuickBooks Payments and other financial or payment-service providers used to process, record, reconcile, or administer transactions.

Technology and Business Service Providers

We may use service providers for functions including:

These providers may receive information reasonably necessary to perform services for Happening.

Visitor comments, for example, may be processed through an automated spam-detection service.

If you request a password reset, information such as your IP address may be included or used as part of the password-reset and security process.

Legal, Regulatory, and Safety Disclosures

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

Business Transactions

Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.

Happening does not sell personal information to advertisers for monetary consideration.

9. Marketing Communications

If you elect or otherwise agree to receive promotional communications, Happening may contact you regarding travel opportunities, memberships, events, offers, and other Happening products and services.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe mechanism included in the message or contact us to update your communication preferences.

Where applicable, you may opt out of marketing text messages using the instructions provided in the message.

Opting out of marketing does not prevent Happening from sending necessary transactional or service-related communications concerning an existing reservation, membership, payment, account, safety issue, or customer-service matter.

10. Data Security

Happening uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

Our payment architecture is designed to limit Happening’s exposure to sensitive payment-card information. When Intuit’s browser-based payment technology is used, Happening Core is designed not to receive or store full payment-card numbers or CVV information.

Access to systems and information is restricted based on operational need, and credentials and integration secrets are protected using security controls appropriate to their purpose.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. How Long We Retain Information

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to satisfy legitimate business, contractual, accounting, security, and legal requirements.

For example, we may retain information as necessary to:

If you leave a website comment, the comment and associated metadata may be retained indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognized and approved appropriately.

For registered website users, if any, we may retain information provided in the user’s profile. Users may be able to view, edit, or delete certain profile information, subject to system limitations and records we are required or permitted to retain.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with our retention practices and applicable law.

12. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you reside and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to:

If you have an account on our website or have submitted comments, you may also request an export of certain personal information associated with you.

These rights are subject to applicable exceptions. For example, we may be required or permitted to retain information needed for accounting, transactions, reservations, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or legal claims even after receiving a deletion request.

We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before processing a privacy request.

13. Children’s Privacy

Happening’s services are not directed to children for the purpose of independently purchasing travel or memberships.

Information about a minor traveler may nevertheless be provided by a parent, guardian, or other authorized adult when necessary to arrange travel. Such information is used for the applicable reservation or travel purpose and handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

14. International Travel

Travel may require personal information to be provided to travel suppliers, service providers, or governmental authorities outside your state or country.

When necessary to provide travel services you request, information may therefore be transmitted to or processed in jurisdictions whose privacy laws may differ from those where you reside.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services, technology, business practices, or legal requirements.

When we update this Policy, we will revise the Last Updated date at the top of the page. Where appropriate, we may provide additional notice of material changes.
